Dr Goli Samimi

Group Leader, Ovarian Cancer, Cancer Research Program, Garvan Institute of Medical Research; Conjoint Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Medicine, The University of New South Wales

Email: g.samimi 'at' garvan.org.au
Research Group: Ovarian Cancer

Goli joined the Garvan's Cancer Research Program after completing a fellowship in the Cancer Prevention Fellowship Program at the National Cancer Institute, NIH, USA. Goli’s research has focused on examining mechanisms of platinum chemotherapy resistance in ovarian cancer and identifying novel therapeutic targets in the stroma of ovarian tumours.

As Leader of the Ovarian Cancer Group, our research focus involves identification of methylation profiles in plasma DNA that have potential as diagnostic markers for early stage ovarian cancer.
