Scientific Positions
The Cancer Research Program is an integrated series of strongly interactive Research Groups undertaking research aimed at increasing the international knowledge base on the development, progress, treatment and prevention of human cancers. The current emphasis centres on developing a deeper understanding of the control of cellular proliferation and differentiation in several common cancers, particularly breast, prostate, pancreas, lung and ovarian cancer.
We are seeking a Research Assistant to join our staff in the Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF) Facility with a focus on DNA Sequencing, Realtime qPCR and Mouse Genotyping.

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Flow Cytometry Operator to work within the Immunology and Inflammation program. Applications should have a BSc degree with Honours in immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or related disciplines. Previous lab experience with a strong emphasis on flow cytometric techniques, and prior operation of analogue and digital instruments would be advantageous. Experience with using and operating cell sorters is highly desirable.

Non Scientific Positions
The Cancer Research Program is seeking a Technical Officer three days per week to assist in supporting the Cancer Histology Facility Manager in the operation of the laboratory.
Essential Criteria:- Demonstrated experience in routine microtomy and basic staining a
MUST
- Previous experience in a Histology Laboratory (proven professional
experience)
- TAFE qualification in a relevant discipline (or equivalent)
- Ability to understand and follow laboratory procedures
- Competency with computers including database applications
- Experience in immunohistochemistry
- Experience in modern histological techniques such as tissue
microarray, automated immunohistochemistry and image analysis
