Great opportunity for Garvan neuroscientist

30 Dec 2005

Dr Deborah Lin, a researcher in the Neuroscience program, has been awarded a full travel bursary to attend a training program at Japan’s prestigious RIKEN Brain Science Institute (BSI).

Each year the BSI offers a summer program to train advanced PhD students and young postdocs interested in brain function. Just over forty participants are selected each year from hundreds of applicants around the world.

As well as meeting and hearing from invited lecturers from Universities in the US and Japan Deborah will have the opportunity to present and discuss her Garvan research on the effects of overproduction of the brain hormone NPY on stress-related behaviour and seizures.
