Garvan thanks Vittoria coffee
We were delighted to express our gratitude for gifts in cash and kind to five members of the Schirato family (owners of Vittoria coffee) in attendance at the opening of our new café, de novo, on 7 June.
Mr Les Schirato is noted for his support of charitable causes, and when asked to assist Garvan with this project, responded immediately. A generous donation by Vittoria Coffee enabled us to outfit our café to a high standard. In addition to significant financial support, Mr Schirato donated the coffee-making machines as well as Vittoria-branded cups and saucers.
We are confident that a meeting place such as this will stimulate debate and collaboration between research areas, as well as satisfy more primal urges for a good strong cup of coffee.
