AussieMit 2010

Date: Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd December 2010 

Venue: The Garvan Institute of Medical Research - 384 Victoria Street Darlinghurst - Sydney - Australia 

This meeting brings together researchers involved in all areas of mitochondrial biology. The aim of this meeting is to update researchers of new data, to outline relevant techniques, and to foster new collaborative and career opportunities.

Topics include: 

Mitochondrial metabolism and physiology 

Mitochondrial disease 

Mitochondria in common diseases 

Apoptosis 

Protein import, assembly, and quality control 

Mitochondrial imaging and dynamics  

• The program will be heavily weighted towards presentations by students and early-career researchers. 
•  A poster session will be held on the Thursday afternoon. 
• Prizes will be awarded for the best oral and poster presentation by a young investigator. 
• Registration includes morning and afternoon tea/coffee, lunch, and drinks. 
• Abstract submission deadline - October 22nd. 
• Registration closes November 19th.
