Additional Information
The 5th Garvan Signalling Symposium
Date: Monday 18th and Tuesday 19th October 2010
Venue: The Garvan Institute of Medical Research - 384 Victoria Street Darlinghurst - Sydney - Australia
This meeting series started in 2001 when we held a one-day symposium based around the visit of Axel Ullrich to the Garvan, and are held every 2-3 years. In 2005 the meeting was sponsored by the Australian Academy of Sciences and held as a Boden Conference.
In 2010 we are delighted to announce that the meeting will be held in association with the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB).
The conference will include two ASBMB-sponsored sessions that feature leading US scientists in the signalling field, together with sessions that cover: assembly of signalling complexes, signalling networks, lipid signalling and how aberrant cellular signalling contributes to particular disease states including cancer, diabetes and inflammatory conditions.
Final Program: Session details will be provided at a later date. The meeting will begin at 8:45 am on each day and close at 6:15 pm on Tuesday 19th October.
Please note: 10 slots have been reserved for short (15 min) talks that will be selected from submitted abstracts.
There will be a poster session on the Monday afternoon, with generous prizes.
Registration includes morning and afternoon tea/coffee, lunch, and a wine and cheese tasting on the Monday evening.
