The Ageing Brain - Latest Breakthroughs in Neurological Disorders
The increasing prevalence of neurodegenerative disorders such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's and other dementias in our fast-ageing society is fuelling the need to find new and more effective therapeutic approaches for these disorders. Garvan's Neuroscience program is investigating these diseases from a range of approaches with the aim of better understanding the neuronal systems involved to ultimately pave the way for new therapies. At this seminar Garvan researchers presented their latest research and findings into neurodegenerative disorders including Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease.
