For Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October and just in time for the festive season, Estée Lauder Companies have produced a limited edition Beauty Box featuring products from some of the world’s leading beauty brands including Clinique, Aveda, MAC and Bobbi Brown. These limited edition boxes are available now online for $149 (worth $215); with profits from the sale of the Beauty Boxes going to the Garvan Institute of Medical Research’s breast cancer research team.
Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia, claiming the lives of eight women every day. Thanks to decades of research, the five year survival rate for women who are diagnosed is now at 91%, but there is still more work to do.
Garvan is home to one of the largest breast cancer research groups in Australia. Our scientists are conducting cutting-edge research on the progression of breast cancer, and the development of new treatments. With deep expertise in the sequencing and analysis of the DNA of breast cancer tumours, Garvan researchers are in a unique position to increase understanding of this disease and create more effective personalised therapies.
“Estée Lauder has supported breast cancer research at Garvan for many years. We’re grateful to have the backing of a company that has worked tirelessly to further breast cancer research around the world,” says Professor David Thomas, Head of Garvan’s Cancer Division.
Estée Lauder Companies have been campaigning for a breast cancer-free world for over 25 years, when the iconic Pink Ribbon was co-created by Evelyn H. Lauder in 1992.
By purchasing a Beauty Box for yourself, or as a gift for someone special, you will not only be supporting cutting-edge research, but will be giving the gift of hope to the thousands of women diagnosed with breast cancer every year.
On sale now until stocks last, the 2018 Beauty Boxes can be purchased online from Estée Lauder, Clinique and Bobbi Brown.
