DNA Interactive: Discovering DNA’s structure and beyond (2003)
DNAi comprises six major topic areas: Timeline, Code, Manipulation, Genome, Applications, and Chronicle. The topics were serially released over a five-month period in 2003. The site is a collection of animations, interactive games, video and high-resolution animations of DNA processes.

New technologies: Sequencing at Speed
This animation created by the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute explains the processes used by one of the leading ‘next-generation’ sequencers that have dramatically decreased the cost and time required to sequence a genome.
Dolan DNA Learning Center (DNALC): Biology animation Library
These animations tend to focus on explaining technologies and biological processes in short, self-contained and downloadable animations. If you play the animations online, you are also referred to a set of related content from DNALC sites.

A multimedia exploration of the molecular basis of cancer, created by Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory’s Dolan DNA Learning Center. The ‘Diagnosis & Treatment’ section includes explanations of pharmacogenetics and targeted therapies. In this site, animations are integrated with videos of leading researchers.
