As a Garvan researcher you have access to a special discounted price (please see here). If you work on the precinct you will pay a precinct price. As an external entity to Garvan the below prices are applicable to your cost calculation. We also have different prices for commercial clients, please enquire at CustomerService@garvan.org.au.
We buy in bulk and get special prices for you.
When we provide you with reagents you profit from bulk pricing and you do not have to pay for delivery costs.
Our reagents are available 24/7 as you can send an email to gmg@garvan.org.au and let us know what you have used when you work on weekends or after hours. Please do remember to send us this email as this system is based on trust. Alternatively leave a short message on the desk of the Sequencing Service Coordinator with your full name and the reagent or consumable you have taken.
Mouse Genotyping Service Prices
All PCRs are run with internal control housekeeping PCR and a WT control DNA additional to gene specific controls (if provided), these controls are included in the price listed. Urgent samples are charged at double the listed price.

| Copy Number Het/Hom Differentiation. This assay has a risk of false results, this risk can be minimised by submitting a het and a hom control with the samples, (control DNA prepped with the samples). The DNA quality is crucial for this test, we require 50ul of DNA at 50ng/ul (all DNAs diluted to this same concentration). The results of this assay cannot be translated directly in a breeding scheme but must be verified by cross-testing breeding strategy. | $75 | |

We perform a Mycoplasma test via PCR. We amplify in regions of the 23s and the 16s rRNA and find the follwing species: Mycoplasma hyorhinis, orale, hominis, argininis, salivarium, pirum, fermentans, and Acholeplasma laidlawii, account for over 95% of isolates from cultured cells. In addition we are able to detect Mycoplasma pneumoniae, gallisepticum, genitalium, penetrans, synoviae, bovis, hyopneumoniae,Ureaplasma urealyticum, Spiroplasma citri. |
