Business Development Opportunities
The Partnerships team works closely with Garvan scientists, partners with other academic organisations, and works with the pharmaceutical and biotech sector to take Garvan’s research discoveries closer to the clinic. We are interested in forming links with other organisations with type-1 diabetes programmes.
The team looks after all aspects of commercialisation and commercial contracts including:
- monitoring research activities so as to capture intellectual property
- identifying market opportunities
- negotiating and managing a range of commercial agreements
It also assists Garvan researchers with non-commercial activities such as setting up academic collaborations and transferring scientific material.
