Understanding pancreatic cancer

Download our free guide to learn more about what you can do to prevent it.

Pancreatic cancer occurs when damaged or abnormal cells grow out of control within the pancreas. It's seldom detected in its early stages and typically spreads rapidly, making it the 4th leading cause of cancer death in Western societies

Because of the complex symptoms, pancreatic cancer can remain undetected until it grows large enough to affect or spread to nearby organs. Some of the few known risk factors are outlined in our guide.

Our comprehensive guide contains key information:

  • About pancreatic cancer
  • The possible causes, symptoms and risk factors of the disease
  • Garvan’s research into treatment strategies.
