The Kinghorn Centre for Clinical Genomics (KCCG) was established by the Garvan Institute in 2012 to advance the use of genomic information in patient care.
Clinical genomics is a rapidly evolving field focused on the use of genomic sequencing information in patient diagnosis and treatment. KCCG is a state-of-the-art research and sequencing centre that:
- pioneers studies to improve genome interpretation; and
- employs world-leading DNA analysis technology and expertise in genetics, pathology and bioinformatics to deliver and interpret genome sequences for research and clinical use.
