Sequencing facility tour
Welcome to the sequencing facility of the Kinghorn Centre for Clinical Genomics.
This facility opened in 2012 with just two sequencers. In 2014, it became became the largest sequencing centre in the Southern Hemisphere when the Garvan Institute of Medical Research acquired an Illumina HiSeq X™ Ten sequencing system.
Our sequencing facility is a secure environment that uses state-of-the-art equipment to track individual samples from collection to data delivery, and follows best practice procedures to avoid sample contamination.
