Dr Mary Christie

Group Leader, Structural Immunology

Mary was awarded her PhD in Biochemistry in 2011 at the University of Queensland (Advisor: Professor Bostjan Kobe). Her interest in protein biochemistry then led her to the Max Planck Institute in Germany, where she worked with MPI Director Prof. Elisa Izaurralde.

Mary joined the Christ laboratory at the Garvan in March 2014. Her current research focuses on understanding the mechanism of aggregation resistance of stabilised monoclonal antibodies. Mary is currently the Garvan Representative of the Sydney Protein Group.
