
Lucas Mitchell
Lucas Mitchell is a PhD candidate in the Genomics and Inherited Disease Program, under the supervision of A/Prof Jodie Ingles and A/Prof Owen Siggs. His research focuses on rare diseases and advancing genomic diagnoses through a participant-led rare disease registry. Before commencing his PhD, Lucas completed his Master of Genetic Counselling from the University of Technology Sydney in 2020. He subsequently worked as a Research Genetic Counsellor at the Garvan Institute, where he returned genetic research results, provided genetic counselling, and contributed to major initiatives, including My Research Results, DNA Screen, and the PRiMO trial.
